Re: Ron Paul correct - Treating PTSD at a firi....
Sir
I am a viet vet and have ptsd. I use to jump or try to find cover when i used to hear a loud noise. what helped me to almost overcome the problem was to face what was making me relive viet nam sounds was to saturate myself with the noise.
I do not want to hurt or kill any thing now but just like you to protect my famly or myself or anyone elses life I will risk my own to save them if I had to I would take their life just like you. People with combat ptsd should be helped and bring home we can be helped not cured but learn to control ptsd, after all we done it for our famly and country but our government wants place sanctions on us for doing what we were trained and orderd to do so have understanding after all drugs and drunk drivers kill more children than ones with ptsd and assult guns added together.
thanks, Mike

: Ron Paul correct - Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't
: make sense. What's going on here?

: February 4, 2013
: The shooting of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield is for sure
: tragic, but Ron Paul is correct on what he is said to have
: tweeted, that "Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't
: make sense".

: Why should the (former mental patient?) mental patient, Eddie
: Ray Routh, have been anywhere near a firing range or a
: firearm in his state of mind? These guys that develop post
: traumatic stress disorders may not be receiving enough stay
: in veteran's hospitals due to the lack of government
: funding for veterans and wounded veterans, but they
: certainly don't belong right back out on a firing range.

: In fact, something is wrong here. Just who is it that
: 'prescribed' as part of Routh's treatment a trip to the
: firing range with one of the sharpest marksmen in history?!
: Doesn't this set off a few alarm bells with anyone?!

: Here we have an ex-serviceman, or at least it appears that
: Chris Kyle was now not in the military, and he leads
: another serviceman suffering from PTSD (unstable) back out
: to the firing range? For what purpose? Why was this
: necessary? A weird kind of 'cure', wouldn't you say?!

: Doesn't anyone see the logic in what Ron Paul is getting at
: here? People that jumped to conclusions to suggest Ron Paul
: blamed Kyle for his own death are being
: 'passive-aggressive' again, taking something not stated to
: another level.
